City Wide Hold Up

City Wide Hold Up

We will be hosting Texas Wranglers on Tuesday October 4th at Amy's and Phil's on Burnet Rd. If enough people mention their organization when ordering, we'll share a % of the day's sales with them!

The Texas Wranglers is a group of men who excel in leadership, scholarship, and athletics. We’re motivated to improve our future and career opportunities by withstanding mediocrity and persevering when confronted with a challenge.
Our mission statement declares, "Texas Wranglers affords students an opportunity to make lifelong friends from all walks of life; to become a student leader through community involvement; to broaden one's network throughout the student body; and to gain the strength of character, mind, and body to overcome any adversity. The Wranglers do not limit their membership by race, creed, or financial ability; rather, we strive to bring out the best in anyone who accepts the challenge to become a Texas Wrangler."
A Texas Wrangler acts on the principle that the greatest leaders are those who lead not by words, but through actions. As Wranglers, we pride ourselves in excelling in every aspect, whether it be on the intramural fields, at service events, or in the social environment.
This money is going to our biggest philanthropy event called City-Wide Hold Up. The event draws hundreds of volunteers and sends them to street corners throughout Austin to “hold up” passing motorists for change. Over the past seventeen years, with the help of over 8500 volunteers, City Wide Hold Up has raised over $450,000 for Easter Seals in only 80 hours! Our goal for 2016 is $50,000.

We hope to see you there!
