Impressing Your Crush is So Easy with Chocolate Covered Strawberries

February, the season for love, is for both giving and receiving. Here at Amy’s Ice Creams, we have started production on our famous Chocolate Covered Strawberries. This wonderful, sweet treat has found its way into the heart of Texans for over 30 years and has made a name for itself every Valentine’s Day.
The process of love is simple; we start with a fresh, plump strawberry, hand-dipped by our ice cream scoops in the same Belgian Callebaut Chocolate we also use in our ice cream.

Fun Fact! Belgian Callebaut Chocolate, produced in Wieze, Belgium. Cocoa beans roast in their shell, which protects the chocolate’s aromas and subtleties. Belgian chocolatiers have been using this technique for over 100 years!

We submerge our strawberries in chocolate, then rest them gently on a tray to set up and create a solid but silky to the taste shell. After a momentary stop in a cooling freezer, a white chocolate lattice is applied to each berry individually.

Fun Fact! At Amy’s we use real white chocolate with cocoa butter, fine sugar, and a touch of Bourbon Vanilla, used to create an extra touch of sweetness.

Specially trained scoops carefully handpick the best-looking strawberries ensuring the highest quality dozen Chocolate Covered Strawberries.  Packaging is not the final stop for our Chocolate Covered Strawberries. They are delivered to all of the stores across Texas. Finally, the journey ends for our delicious dozens in the hands of you, the passionate lovers, to give or receive on that special day.

We at Amy’s Ice Creams hope that you and your loved ones have a beautiful Valentine’s Day of both giving and receiving.

Starting Monday, February 12th, our Chocolate Covered Strawberries will be available to the public. This delicacy goes by fast, and each store has been known to sell out quickly.
