AN UPDATE ON COVID-19: INFORMATION ABOUT AMY’S ICE CREAMS PRODUCTION FACILITY

We learned that an Amy’s employee at our Production Facility (2109 Northland Dr, Austin, Texas 78756) tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) on June 28, 2020. Upon receiving this news, we acted immediately to notify our team at the Production Facility. By the time the employee notified us on June 21st, noting contact with an individual with COVID-19 outside of work, we had contracted a deep clean of the entire facility with a local sanitation company, this also includes mandatory regular cleanings of workstations and high touch areas. The last shift this employee worked was Thursday, June 18th at this time the facility was not open to the public.
Following guidance from public health authorities, Amy’s Ice Creams identified all other team members who had close contact with the affected person and they are currently in self-quarantine until free of symptoms for 14 days or have tested negative for the virus. Testing is being conducted currently for those who are experiencing symptoms. The facility is currently closed to the public.
We are, and have been, following all recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and city, county, and state public health departments. Any team members experiencing fever or symptoms of respiratory illness are being advised to stay home.
